Have you ever had a nagging thought that sometime it would be good to find out what Christianity is all about? Maybe you’ve grown up going to Sunday School and you’re curious about what a faith can be as an adult? Or maybe you’ve never heard about Christianity, Jesus and the Bible but you’re intrigued by a Christian you’ve met?
The Alpha Course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, runs in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world and has now been attended by over 2 million people in the UK and over 18 million worldwide.
Never been to church? Not sure what you believe? Maybe you gave up on church a long time ago. The course was designed for you or anyone who doesn’t go to church regularly.
Have you ever wanted to explore the meaning of life or ask challenging questions about the Christian faith? Maybe you’re just curious about church. Alpha welcomes everyone whatever your big questions are and whatever your background and its free.
Alpha is a ten week course with a day away in the middle. Each session starts with food (evening course) or coffee and cake (daytime course), followed by a short talk that looks at a different aspect of the Christian faith. This is followed by a time of discussion in a small group of 10 or 12 people.
If you would like more information, please get in touch with Caroline Hanbury via the contact form on this page. If you would like to book your place on the next course, please click on one of the Alpha events in the 'Upcoming events' section.
