Home for Good

Caring for vulnerable children through fostering and adoption faith in action "caring for orphans and widows in their distress" (James 1:27).

Every day more than 50 children are taken into care in the UK. Some of them need a temporary home, some an occasional home, and others need a permanent home. The Church is uniquely placed to offer its help to meet this need – finding families to foster or adopt and providing an excellent community of support.

We are a Home for Good church, partnering with the national charity promoting fostering and adoption in UK churches. Click here to go to the Home for Good website.

Home for Good: Bracknell Forest promotes fostering and adoption through local churches. Here in Bracknell Forest, children are needing foster carers, homes where they can be safe and cared for. And local people are needed to adopt children from across the country who are waiting for forever families.

We have a community of people at Kerith who foster and adopt or have special guardianship, supporting one another through the approval process and through the joys and challenges of family life. Please use the contact form if you’d like to know more.

And there is support in our children’s work and small groups for foster and adoptive families.

We also have close links with the Bracknell Forest Family Placement Team and with PACT, a Voluntary Adoption Agency based in Reading.

You might have considered fostering or adopting in the past, it might be something you're thinking about now or for the future. Kerith foster carers and adoptive parents would love to talk to you and share their experiences.

If you would like to chat to someone from Kerith who has fostered or adopted, please fill in the contact form.

As well as families who will foster or adopt, we need people who will support them - would you be able to be part of their support network to welcome and help these children?

We hold information events - please see the 'Upcoming Events' section or fill in the contact form if you'd like to know more.

A Personal Story

Here's an honest adoption story told by one Kerith teenager when he was baptised.
