Summer At Kerith
Hope you've been enjoying the sunshine!
I was away this weekend and wanted to let you know what I've been up to! On Saturday I had the pleasure of seeing my brother get ordained into the Churchof England as a Deacon in Crawley! It was a special service held at Chichester Cathedral, which was a pretty amazing place, but quite out of my comfort zone! My favourite moment was walking through from the main church towards the 'High Altar' through the choir for communion. Through that section the grandness and majesty of the huge Cathedral turned into a place of intimacy and closeness. It reminded me that God is both epic, omnipotent - all powerful. But also he is iminent, with us, closer than our breath. What a good God he is!Then on Sunday, as we were staying with my brother in Crawley, we went to Kerith Farnborough (not too far away!) where I was leading worship with a few of their musicians. It was brilliant to be at another Kerith Site. It felt like home, just in a different place with some different people. I'd really encourage you, if you have a chance, to visit the other Kerith Sites (Bracknell, Farnborough and Windsor). It's fun to see how our Kerith vision and values are worked out similarly in a different context, and be encouraged by gathering with others who are also seeking to follow Jesus!

Sam, one of our young people, and his friend Seth are hosting a Bingo afternoon again at the hall, to raise money for their trip to Borneo with Camps International in 2024. There, they will be doing conservation work to make a long-lasting impact on the region's most critical issues.
Come and have a laugh, win some prizes and support these 2 brilliant teenagers!
Sunday 23rd July | 12:30pm – BBQ at Dave and Karen's House
Dave and Karen Shurmer have kindly offered to host us for a BBQ at their house so join us after church for some tasty lunch, some fun and games with all the church family.
Please sign up on the event page so we know numbers. BBQ food will be provided but bring a drink or a side if you're able to. Paula will be in touch to let you know what we need.If you don't have transport, let us know as there will be plenty of people heading there from Freshwater after our morning meeting.
Saturday 5th August | 3pm – Beach Fun & Picnic - Shanklin
We're going to head over to Shanklin beach for some fun together, maybe on some paddle boards and kayaks if people bring them! And obviously buckets & spades too! Bring a picnic and hang out into the evening.
We'll meet at Hope Road Long Stay Car Park, Shanklin, PO37 6BG - let us know if you're coming and we'll make sure to look out for you!
