Gift Day Update - Cost of Living Fund
Last Sunday we relaunched our Cost of Living Fund which was created in 2020 to assist families and individuals struggling financially due to the cost-of-living crisis post-pandemic.
Over the last five years, we've raised over £73,000, thanks to your generosity, helping many in our community with essential needs — that’s an AMAZING amount on top of our general funds!
However, the demand is still high, and the fund is nearly empty. We're seeing individuals facing crisis situations, including parents needing help with school costs, pensioners struggling with energy bills, and people barely managing to meet monthly expenses.
We're asking for your continued support, through one-off or monthly donations to help meet these pressing needs.
Each Tuesday morning our Kerith Care team meet to talk through those in our community that need our support. These individuals are signposted to us via those who care for them across our community, our small group/serving teams or through our Revive ministries. We offer vouchers from the main supermarkets that offset the money these families or individuals need to go towards a crisis cost. The amounts vary depending on the size of the family and the Kerith Care teams joint decision on what we feel is needed in each individual circumstance.
Here are some real stories of those affected:
"I’m not eating properly or at all when my children are at their dads."
"I’m struggling to meet the costs of gas and electricity on my pension."
"The rising cost of living is crippling; I’m barely scraping by each month."
How You Can Help?
Giving Stations: Our giving stations have been set up for these these two Sundays to focus on raising one-off contributions for the Cost of Living Fund (COLF).
Online: You can also choose the option of contributing either a one-off gift, weekly or monthly when you give online here.

Thank you to everyone who has already given, and to those who will. Your generosity is making a real difference. As Galatians 6:9-10 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest.”
Thank you for your support!
