New to Kerith event, and road closures this Sunday

It’s been wonderful to see so many new faces at Kerith Farnborough since we started meeting in person again. If you're new we've got one of our New to Kerith events coming up; they run regularly online, but we’ll be having one in person after the service on Sunday 30 January. These are relaxed opportunities to hear about Kerith, meet some of the team and ask any questions you may have.

We will take you through:

  • A potted history of Kerith Community Church

  • Who's Who and our multisite structure

  • Talk Sundays - why we do what we do

  • Talk Small Groups - the importance of small group communities in the church.

  • The heart of volunteering at Kerith

  • Our heart to transform our societies and what we do in our Social Justice ministries

We’ll aim to start at 11.30am and be done by midday, and there’ll be drink and maybe some cake. It would be helpful to know how many people are coming, so we’ll ask you to book a place. The event booking link will be avaliable soon, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for that. If you can’t make that date, or if you would prefer to come to an online New to Kerith event, there’s one a couple of days later on Tuesday 2 February.

This Sunday (23 January) is the Farnborough Half Marathon, with around 3,000 runners setting off from the middle of Farnborough business park at 9am. Some roads in the area will be closed, with diversions in place, particularly on the Alderhot and Fleet side of the airport. While this event should not have as much impact on church as it did when we were meeting at the Village hotel, we would encourage you give yourself a bit more time to get to church this week.

Visit the Council website to see details of the road closures.
