Thursday: sharing the love of God with our neighbours
In today's devotional, Ian Bryan challenges us to reflect on how we can share the love of God with our neighbors, particularly the vulnerable members of society. Drawing from Amos 5:24, Ian highlights the importance of justice and compassion, mirroring the actions of Jesus in his ministry. He shares his personal experience helping at the Food Pantry in Farnborough, where God’s provision and support for the community have been evident. Ian encourages us to look beyond ourselves and embrace the call to love others through actions—whether through time, prayers, or practical support.
Wednesday: Breathing out
In the third devotional of our Week of Prayer and Fasting, Toby Bibb reflects on the importance of "breathing out" God’s love, compassion, and kindness to others, particularly those who are hard to love. Using Deuteronomy 31:6 as the focus verse, Toby reminds us that God’s presence is with us always, offering strength and guidance. He shares a personal story about overcoming difficult relationships and learning to love others through prayer. Toby encourages us to reflect on how we can show love and compassion to everyone, even those who challenge us.

Tuesday: the power of gathering in His name
In the second devotional of our Week of Prayer and Fasting, Ann Robinson reflects on the power of gathering in God's name, using Matthew 18:19-20 as the foundation: "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." She highlights the importance of both corporate worship and smaller gatherings, such as small groups and ministry activities, as spaces where we encounter God’s presence. Ann encourages us to spend time in quiet worship, prayer, and petitioning for revival in our communities, while also giving thanks for the outreach ministries that serve others.

Reflections for our week of Prayer and Fasting. Monday: Breathing in
In the first devotional of our Week of Prayer and Fasting, Ellen Hopkin reflects on "Breathing In" as we encounter God’s presence. Drawing from Exodus 33:14, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest," she encourages us to invite God's presence into the mundane moments of life, such as a chaotic Monday morning. Ellen suggests that true rest comes not from external circumstances, but from living in the presence of God. As we breathe in more of God, we can experience peace, even in the midst of life’s challenges.
