Small Groups Update
As we are coming to the end of our summer small group term, I thought you might like to see and hear what our groups have been up to.
"It is an opportunity to re-think prayer meetings. We talk and pray for things that are personal to us, but also for more wide-reaching things, focusing on a different theme every week. Prayer can be hard, but the time just flies!"
"I have enjoyed learning how to hear God by praying the Bible using Lectio Divina and practicing within our small online group. It's inspired me to read the Bible in a different way and expect to hear God when I do."
"It is a relaxed, friendly group where we share lots of laughs. There is opportunity to be 'real', sharing the ups and downs of life, praying for each other and reflecting on Sunday's message. It is such a welcoming space where we always leave feeling encouraged and accepted."
"It's been good praying for the Island and for God's Kingdom to come in many areas, including praying for ourselves and families."
"It's a great group for me because my husband gets to spend time with my church family and doesn't feel pressured in any way. I thoroughly enjoy helping others, being helped and great fellowship time."
"Good fellowship, nice plants, great people …. also the best flapjack ever!"
The Autumn term starts again at the end of September, although some groups may choose to continue over the summer break. Once again, we aim to be able to offer a wide range of lifegroups, growth track and life track courses, as well as activity groups.
So, if you fancy leading a group please fill in this form and I'll be in touch to discuss it further (you are not committing yourself to anything by filling it in). Your group could start whenever you like - you don't have to wait until September and can be any time of the week - daytime or evening - online or in person - a dog walking, cookery or craft group or Bible Study for the over 50's!! So please give it some thought and let me know!
