Sunday 11th Update - Space to Reflect
Dear all,
I'm sure you have heard the sad news that Queen Elizabeth II has died. Having reigned as Queen for 70 years, being faithful to her position and to God throughout this time we are grateful to God for her life. Many of us will be experiencing a lot of emotions as we hear and process the news, whether we are a fan of the monarchy or not, there's a lot to process.
As you know, we had planned not to meet this Sunday morning because of the Tour of Britain Bike Race, the race has now been cancelled and so we have the opportunity to meet but in a slightly different format to usual.
Rather than trying to pull together a normal Sunday meeting last minute, I'd like to invite you to come together for a low key, informal time to remember, pray together, reflect and turn to Jesus. We will meet at the Freshwater Memorial Hall at 10:30am for 30-45mins Sunday 11th September.
If you think you would like to come, please let me know so we can be prepared for the right sort of number of people.
Let's be praying for each other, for our nation and for all who will be affected by the death of Queen Elizabeth. There are a number of helpful resources to help us to process what's happened. The Lectio 365 app, by 24/7 prayer have done a helpful reflection today, so I encourage you to check that out.
