Bracknell Foodbank Update

We have some exciting news to share with our Bracknell community!

As we navigate through the changes and transitions of life, it’s always heartening to witness how our community steps up to support one another. This month, we have a particularly special announcement to make.

Some of you may already be aware that our wonderful Foodbank Manager, Claire Mather, is off to have a baby in May & we have been thinking long & hard about how we can find someone who could step into Claire’s very capable & fabulous shoes whilst she is away being a mummy.

After some careful consideration and prayer, we approached the wonderful Elizma Fourie, affectionately known as Liz, who has been an integral part of our Kerith family and serving diligently on the Friday foodbank team. We asked her if she would consider covering Claire's maternity leave, and to our delight, she graciously accepted the offer!

For those who have had the pleasure of working alongside Liz, you’ll know first-hand the warmth and dedication she brings to everything she does. Since joining the foodbank team, Liz has seamlessly integrated herself into our group, demonstrating not only her efficiency but also her genuine care for the individuals we serve. It’s evident to us all that she is the perfect fit for this role.

Liz brings a wealth of experience to the table, having worked as an Events Coordinator, she has honed her skills in working with diverse groups of people, organizing various events, and managing tasks efficiently, even on tight budgets!

Additionally, her background in the financial industry has equipped her with valuable skills in administration, customer liaison and team management.

On a personal note, Liz shares a bit about her family life; married for almost 23 years, she and her husband have raised three children here in Bracknell, where they have been active members of the Kerith community for many years. Their journey with Kerith has seen them through different seasons of life, including a brief hiatus when they relocated to South Africa for two years.

With her wealth of experience, warm heart, and strong commitment to serving others, we couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Liz into this new role. We are confident that she will continue to uphold the values and spirit of the Bracknell Foodbank as she leads us through this season of transition.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome and congratulations to Liz as she embarks on this exciting new chapter with us.

Together, let’s continue to make a positive impact in our community, one meal at a time!

With much love from The Bracknell Foodbank Team.
