Happy Birthday to us ….

On Sunday 6th November in the year 1881 seven local Christians from Bracknell Congregational Chapel met for the first time as a new community at the Reading Room, Terrace Road, Binfield (under the present town centre).

What was in their hearts on that first meeting? Why did they feel they wanted to begin something new? What had God spoken over them for them to step out of their comfortable place and begin something new?

141 years later we are so thankful that they did as Kerith Community Church was launched!

So on our ACTUAL Birthday on Sunday we are super excited to gather together to continue their legacy- to “Help people find their way to God, though our Bracknell community growing in our LOVE for GOD and LOVE for PEOPLE.”

.

… and yes of course there will be Chocolate Celebrations ( shocking news about the Bounty bar!!) for our Celebration on Sunday!

So this weekend what about spending some time thanking God for all those that have gone before us.

Hebews 12:1-3

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

See you Sunday!
