Introducing our first Kerith Community Pantry!

Exciting news is brewing in Farnborough as we proudly announce the opening of our Kerith Community Pantry!

With its recent launch, we're thrilled to offer a new avenue for local people to access essential foods at low prices and connect with their neighbours. Thanks to Hampshire County Council and Connect 4 Communities and Rushmoor Borough Council who have awarded us grants to get this off the ground and provide valuable food supplies.

The Kerith Community Pantry is open to all members of the local community. Located conveniently on our Farnborough site on Invincible Road, our pantry is open every Monday and Thursday 11am-2pm (excluding bank holidays).

Membership is free and there is no means-testing meaning ANYONE can come along once a week for a nominal fee of just £5 and shop!

The items can range from week-to-week and even season-to-season which not only provides a low-cost food solution in these turbulent times but also helps to reduce food waste within society.

The food is displayed like a mini shop with shelves of tinned and packaged foods, fridges and freezers.

There’s a variety of choice and upon arrival, members are provided with a basket to freely select their desired items; ranging from fresh produce, chilled and frozen goods, to toiletries and cleaning products when available.

While there's a limit on the number of items per visit, rest assured that the value far exceeds the nominal fee, typically totalling £20 or more.

Beyond a Pantry:

As our membership grows and the pantry evolves, we aspire to offer additional support through our Revive projects and partnerships with other agencies, we'll offer comprehensive assistance to address various challenges faced by our community members. Whether it's advice, support or sign-posting, we're committed to addressing the holistic needs of our communities. In cases where our resources may be limited, we'll gladly direct individuals to other agencies equipped to provide aid.

Join Us for a Cuppa:

The Kerith Community Pantry isn't just a place for filling the cupboards - it's a space for connection and conversation. Whether you or someone you know is in need of a little extra help with filling up cupboards or simply craving a friendly chat over tea or coffee, our doors are open, and our hearts are ready to welcome you.

Spread the word to friends, family, and neighbours who might benefit from this resource, ensuring that everyone in our community feels supported and included.

How You Can Help:

If you're inspired to support our pantry's mission, there are several ways to get involved:

1.      Consider donating items directly to our pantry donations trolley at Kerith Community Church in Farnborough on Sundays OR during pantry opening hours.

2.      Financial contributions are greatly appreciated and can be made securely through the Kerith website HERE

Your generosity ensures that we can continue serving our community with dignity and compassion.

Prayers and Support:

As we embark on this journey, we humbly ask for your prayers and support.

·        Please pray for favor and breakthroughs as we establish ourselves within food networks, enabling us to receive a steady supply of goods.

·        For wisdom and guidance to accompany us as we navigate this exciting endeavour.

·        That the pantry will be a source of blessing & provision to our local community.

Get Involved:
