Kerith Christmas Experience - Let’s Pray!

This Sunday is our Christmas Experience and spaces are getting booked up, so if you haven’t already, please book yourself in as we do have limited space! Currently, there is more space at the 6:30, so if you’re trying to decide between the 2, choose the 6:30!

It’s lining up to be a brilliant event for our friends and family and I hope will be a blessing to the community! We’ve got some great small businesses coming to sell some of their products as Christmas presents, so if you can, bring cash for those stalls! Everything else is free! Including: crafts for children and wreath making for adults, games hosted by Faye from the Youth Project, a fire pit, sweet and savoury crêpes, festive refreshments, some furry friends, and of course the wonderful Carol Services hosted by the Reddecliff family!

It looks like it will be cold, but hopefully not windy/rainy! So wrap up warm as some of it will be outside.

Just 3 things I’d love to encourage you to do in response to this email (some of which you may have already done/be doing!)

  1. Invite your friends and family! This is a great event to introduce people to church and to share your faith with them. Our prayer is that people will encounter Jesus through this event. So think and pray about who you could be inviting!

  2. Be praying for the event. That people will come and encounter Jesus! This is the main thing! It’s what we are all about as Kerith, we want see people coming back to God. That it doesn’t rain, as practically this will really help us! For the last bits of preparation over the next few days. That it would be a blessing to our communities, including the stall holders!

  3. Look after yourselves. Many of you are serving on Sunday, and we really couldn’t do it without you! But I recognise that it is quite a big event, with lots going on. So I just want to encourage you to be kind to yourself, take breaks. Rest. Don’t feel the need to go at 100mph! My prayer is that this event will be an act of worship from us all taking part, that we would give of ourselves to serve those around us and that God would be glorified in our actions, our attitudes and in our love for each other. And that through it we might also be blessed as a church! I don’t think that wrecking ourselves on one event is the way of Jesus.

I love these verses for you all from Philippians 1:2-6

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
