Deepen your faith: consider taking or leading a course
At Kerith Bracknell we are passionate about GROWING in our faith, as we know it’s all to easy to think we can live our lives relying on the Bible truths we learnt many years back…
This academic year 2024/5 we are relaunching our yearly pattern of “Tracks.” These are 3 themes or streams of learning that help you to find out new things about God, yourself and others!
Our 3 Tracks are:
Growth Track - Going deeper in your Christian faith, God has an incredible purpose for your life and the Kerith Growth Track is designed to help you connect with that purpose.
Life Track - This track has some incredible courses to help us live a fulfilled life; loving others and ourselves well.
Theology Track - Going deeper in your knowledge of Gods Word through courses and/or formal theological training.
With a yearly focus, starting in September 2024 we want to run termly Growth, Life & Theology Track courses, in small group settings, so that across the academic year there are courses for everyone!
Our major barrier last year was organising courses in a timely manner so that group leaders and hosts could step up to lead or support them. So, this year we wanted to let you know what we envision the course rhythm looks like and then ask you to sign up for one of the terms to be part of a team leading a small group that runs these courses.
You could do this as a individual, tag-team a term each with a partner or friend if you have childcare commitments or decide as a small group which term you could move into the Kerith Centre to support a course!
To help you decide which course you could support, this is the ‘ask’ — we’re looking for people who have already attended the course or are willing to go through the material prior (all are video content) so that you are ready to support others. You can also support it as a leader-in-training.
To lead a course we are looking for those who have led a small group/course before, or want to learn to lead (we can support you!) As a course leader or small group leader you will need to be able to sign up to our Kerith Leadership Expectations.
Note: courses like Alpha will need a kitchen team as well as table hosts and leaders — so there are different roles!
What’s next…
During August would you be willing to prayerfully consider which course you and/or your small group friends could support? We are suggesting one course for one term only for the whole year so you can jump back into your small group either side or take a course yourself.
Sign up via this form and we’ll be in touch at the back end of August with a firmer plan.
NB: Autumn Courses start last week in September.
