Kerith Bracknell Re-emerging
Watch Events
Even with safety restrictions in place, it’s been a joy to worship in our Sunday Watch Events on the Bracknell site throughout May and into June. We may not have been able to sing out loud within the Kerith Centre, however, the experience of being able to stand together, lift up our hands and hum along with the online worship has been very uplifting. It’s been a blessing to catch up in the car park after the meeting with new people and those we haven’t seen in such a long while—so delightful to see all those lovely smiles without masks!
Here’s what Mark & Sam Midwinter had to say about their experience in the video below:
You can still book in for the next Sunday Watch Event on 20th June 2021 here.
In-Person Church at Bracknell
On the Bracknell site, we’ve had the privilege of acting as the recording studio from which Kerith Online has been hosted over the past year. Though Kerith Online will continue to remain available, in the Kerith Centre we will no longer be hosting what we’ve called Watch Events (watching the online content together) but will be holding what we’ve rebranded as In-Person Church from 27th June 2021. This means that for the most part, we'll have our worship teams leading us again in-person and live preachers will be back in the Kerith Centre, focusing on those in the room physically.
Our Kids and Youth teams are firming up plans to resume meeting together on Sundays within updated safety guidelines. For now there will be no separate kids and youth youth work at our Sunday meetings, on any of our sites, until after the 19th July at the earliest. Under 18's can book an adult ticket, attend the meeting with their parents, and sit together in a family group. Unleashed, our youth age group, who come along on Sunday will have an opportunity to hang out with each other and their youth team leaders outside after the meeting, while their adults are chatting in the car park. Please go to the What’s On > Events page of the Kerith website and sign-up for a free ticket under one of the ‘In Person Church at Bracknell’ events. More information in line with our roadmap will be shared in the days to come.
In light of our families’ ministries restarting physically, we're glad to now have the path running by the side of K2 from the Bracknell and Wokingham College car park, which has been in use since we went back to having Watch Events from the beginning of May. This new path provides a safer route for families with young people, avoiding the need to walk alongside the dual carriageway after parking in the college.
As we continue to plan toward ‘Freedom Day’ when we can all meet again without any restrictions, our focus is to return with only one morning meeting. We’ll recalibrate for additional meetings once more people return to meeting physically and we have enough volunteers to serve those meetings.
Worship Again!
Shari Barrett, our Worship Champion, and I had the privilege of getting together with the Bracknell worship leads and their teams on the evening of 10th June. We gathered in anticipation of what it would be like to worship together again in person when all current pandemic-related restrictions are lifted. It was so refreshing to be with the worship teams and hear their heart and desire to worship God freely. There’s such a great longing to invite the rest of the community to journey with them into His presence—a strong thirst to usher in the Holy Spirit and have deep encounters, where we experience rivers of His living water gushing from deep within and amongst us. (John 7:37-39)
Thirsty? Please watch this video to get a taste of the unscripted worship session we had together:
Get ready! We can't wait to worship with you all again!
