Save the date - Kerith Bracknell Women’s Event

Calling All Kerith Bracknell Women!

Psalm 42 vs 1-2

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. Where can I go and meet with God?

We are excited to share that on Saturday 13th July, there will be an opportunity for all Kerith Bracknell women to connect with each another and most importantly, to meet with God!

This day has been birthed from a vision that God placed on the hearts of a group of women from Kerith Bracknell, who attended ‘The Gathering’ at Alive Church in Lincoln last year. Arriving at that conference weary, and somewhat burdened by difficult life events, they all ended the weekend feeling that they had experienced a ‘divine interruption’; a special moment with God, that they didn’t want to keep to themselves.

The bible is full of examples of people being divinely interrupted: the Samaritan woman at the well, who Jesus ministered to so graciously but directly; the prophet Elijah, who when deeply depressed and suicidal, God sent an angel to provide nourishment and comfort; the couple on the road to Emmaus, who were sad and disappointed at the death of Jesus, only for him to appear at just the right time.

God met these people right where they were at, and we want to make space for Him to do that in our lives today!

If you are part of Kerith Bracknell, or you know other women who would be blessed by a whole day devoted to hearing from God, then we encourage you to carve out this time to be ‘divinely interrupted’. We have invited a guest speaker, who just happens to be from Alive Church in Lincoln…

This event is not being run centrally (ie. not by the staff team) SO in order to make it happen, we need us all to get involved. A bit like visiting your lifelong friend’s ‘home from home’ - you don’t sit there waiting to be served, you muck in whilst deepening your friendship at the same time - Kerith Bracknell is our home, so we are in this together!

If you’re excited about being involved in any way, from helping to shape the content to welcoming in the car park, please send an email to joannajones68@yahoo.com and come along to a 1-hour meeting on Sunday 21st April, at 4pm in the Brooke Lounge.

This event will be suitable for women aged 14 years+. Tickets will be available early May.
