Kerith Farnborough Easter events

I don’t know how we are already at Easter – it feels like we only just took down the Christmas decorations! But here we are, and I’m are really excited to share with you all we have coming up at Easter in Kerith Farnborough.

These events are not just ‘events’ – they are opporunities to gather with church family to contemplate what Jesus did for us, and celebrate our risen Saviour! This is the gospel message and we also want to share this message wider with our friends, family and co-workers who may not yet know Jesus for themselves.

We know that it’s a big step for some people to walk into church on a Sunday morning if they have never attended one before, so we have planned a mixture of gatherings that will hopefully be really accessible and appealing to those who know Jesus, and those who don’t – yet!

For those families with younger children - we have two events just for you, that are hopefully really accessible to invite people to. If you don’t have children yourself, chances are your friends, neighbours etc do – why not invite them along!

Movie Afternoon - Tuesday 4 April, 4pm

Bring your friends and celebrate the start of the Easter holidays with a fun afternoon of a movie, drinks, a slice of pizza and popcorn! This is a free event, but you will need to sign up to help us plan for catering. Family Easter Trail – Good Friday, 7 April from 3pm

Our Kids Team have been planning a reflective and ineractive journey for young and old to experience the Easter Bible story. It will include crafts and other easter activities as you make your way around the trail. In order to stagger the event the tickets will be booked as a timed entry in 15 min slots, from 3pm.

The trail will last for roughly one hour, but you are welcome to move around at your own place and then finish with a hot drink and hot cross bun! Again, this is a free event – sign up here: https://kerith.churchsuite.com/events/3ejsp2yt

Perhaps you are reading the above and don’t have or know anyone with a young family. Could you perhaps serve at our Family Easter Trail? Good Friday – 7 April, 7.45pm

As we meet together we are going to take time to reflect on all that Jesus has done for us on the cross, with a time of worship, communion, bible readings and a short message. All to help us focus our attention on the true meaning of Easter.

Easter Sunday – 9th April 10am

You are all invited to celebrate with us on Easter Sunday! It’ll be a time for all the family to gather together to worship our risen Saviour. We will also be hosting baptisms on this Sunday; what a great day to be baptised! Kerith Farnborough, please do be covering all the above in prayer. Let’s pray for each other, that this Easter time would be a time of renewing our relationship with Jesus, that we would find fresh revelation in the gospel.

Please also continue to pray for those we love, who don’t yet know Jesus. Wouldn’t it be amazing to see them come to know Him for the first time, this Easter time? Let’s get brave and invite people to some, or all, of these events.
