Summer Church Picnic
The sun is out and we’ve unrolled those picnic rugs so it must be time for our BIG SUMMER CHURCH PICNIC!
We have decided with the craziness of the end of term for families and the often long August for those who miss the weekly small groups, we should meet together in August to spend the afternoon in one another’s company.
This year the plan is to head over to the local Elms Park ( 5 minute walk from church) so that we don’t have to drive to another venue, and that means everyone can come! We however have parking for Kerith disabled badge holders at the park.
THE BIG CHURCH PICNIC
Sunday 20th August 12:00- 3:pm
The Elms Park (behind Avis)
Park Rd, Bracknell RG12 2LU
Bring along your picnic to church and then we’ll head out after the meeting together- I’m REALLY excited about sampling some great international food as we have such a brilliantly diverse community- so if you love to cook, then bring to share!
We’ll have time to chat, play games (rounders has become a thing!) and there’s even a ‘brass’ rubbing trail for the little ones to do at the park as well. as play equipment for the kids. We’ll have a quiz for groups to join in on as you sit and chat! We’re hiring in toilets so don’t worry about being offsite with us for the afternoon.
We’ll have maps on the day of how to walk across to the park so all you need to do for now is get the date in your diary!
Please note- the park is open to external users so you will need to be responsible for your under 18s throughout the picnic afternoon. Our kids and youth teams will not be on official duty for the picnic- they will be enjoying the community time too.
